  • Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing problems
  • Clear waste line stoppages
  • Repair water line leaks
  • Replace well pumps and tanks
  • Rough-in fixtures on small renovation projects (minimal new construction work)
  • Set fixtures and perform finish work
  • Test/install/replace water treatment systems
  • Repair/replace water heaters
  • Offer and explain repair and replacement options to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Perform other related duties when assigned as a team player
  • Work after hours and respond to emergencies, when needed

  • At least 5 years of experience working in the field
  • A strong working knowledge of water and waste systems
  • Clean driving record as required by company insurance carrier
  • Ability to solve problems and to take appropriate action
  • Identify and sell products that would benefit the customer
  • Written and verbal communication skills in order to manage customer expectations and document services for customers and supervisors
  • Carry out written and/or verbal instructions with or without supervision
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
  • Climb ladders, work in attics and crawl spaces, and able/fit to lift heavy objects when needed
  • Ensure that the final work product meets high quality standards
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements and maintain truck stock levels
  • Be adaptable and enthusiastic to new procedures, technologies, and people
  • Exhibit great interpersonal skills with all types of customers

Job Description: The customer service representative position is designed to increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting new and return customers, with service and sales support to include: dispatching, selection and acquisition of needed product information and over the phone problem solving when possible.

Job Duties / Requirements:

  • Service customers at the counter by taking orders and entering them into the system accurately
  • Follow company pricing and credit guidelines; Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Quickly solve customer problems; Dispatch service calls ; Schedule salesperson calls
  • Increase average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products
  • Handle customer complaints and returns, while showing a positive attitude
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts
  • Drive sales activity through outbound sales calls as directed by management
  • Participate in company-sponsored sales promotions
  • Work with other departments to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Accurately use order entry, computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Perform other job duties as required by management, follow company policies and procedures
  • Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time.
  • Follow any special instructions pertaining to any given order at any given time.
  • Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customer
  • Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
  • Present a neat and professional image.
  • Assist in keeping facility secure.
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Valid Driver’s License; HVAC product knowledge is a must;

Heckeroth Plumbing is an established and growing HVAC and Electrical contracting company and we are looking for the right individual to serve as a Warehouse Manager supporting our new modern facility located in Highland, NY.

We are currently looking to fill the position of Warehouse Manager to handle daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, manage the warehouse and provide impeccable customer service to our clients. Responsibilities:

  • Control and manage inventory levels
  • Oversee daily operations; which would include building, grounds, dock and dumpsters
  • Enforce all company rules and regulations
  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus
  • Maintain vehicles cleanliness, appearance and maintenance – Monitor and schedule routine maintenance schedules
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Tracking Purchase orders and communicating with the purchasers and vendors on deliveries and returns

Qualifications:

  • PC Skills; Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word (Can learn new programs)

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Required valid clean NYS driver’s license
